Important information
- Farellones, El Colorado, La Parva, and Valle Nevado are located at a 80 km distance from Santiago SCL Airport but the drive takes a minimum of 2 and half hours due to the mountain roads and more than 60 turns.
- Distance from Santiago SCL Airport to Portillo is 175 km with an proximate driving time of 2 hours and 45 minutes.
- For passengers with flights departing in the morning from SCL Airport we strongly recommend sleeping in Santiago the last night. Roads could be closed due to a snow storm.
- From Fridays to Sundays during the entire Snow Season, the road to Ski Areas has specific times to go up from the city to the mountain (during the morning, till 13:30 hs) and down from the mountain to the city (on the afternoon from 15:30 hs). Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays the road is open to go up and down at any time.
- On Airport Pick up your assigned driver is going to be waiting with a poster showing your name. He will be at the arrivals hall, just after going through customs, very easy to find.
Skiing and winter sports in Santiago, Chile
